Stuart was born and raised in Toronto. Growing up speaking French and English at home, and being schooled in a French immersion program, he developed an interest in language from a young age.
He received an honor degree from the university of Toronto in 2020 in Anthropology and Linguistics, with a focus on the development of language and cognition through childhood.
He is an experienced private French tutor and has also worked in Toronto District School Board (TDSB) classrooms. He has worked with all ages, from kindergarten to adult, and with a wide variety of background and ability. He is a contributing member to Frontier College, a non-profit organization on a mission to ensure that all children across Canada have the opportunity to develop literacy and academic skills; most of this work involves teaching English as a second language to families who are new to Canada.
Stuart realized he had a passion for teaching during his time at the University of Toronto Karate Club, where he became President and saw the importance of being a role model to his juniors. He is an avid athlete and has led sport camps in after-school programs.
